Andrew Collins' Bluegrass-Jazz-Folk Fusion Trio to Hit Stony Lake Brewing Saturday Night

The award-winning Andrew Collins Trio from Toronto is returning to Stony Lake Brewing, 447 E. Michigan Ave., Saline, this Saturday at 8 p.m.

It's impossible to put a label on The Andrew Collins Trio.  "Newgrass" might be the closest because they blend bluegrass, jazz, folk and chamber-oriented roots music with a dizzying array of instruments, including mandolin, fiddle, guitar, mandola and mandocello. Andrew's instrumental virtuosity and smooth vocals merge with the rich talents of Mike Mezzatesta (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, mandola) and James McEleney (bass, mandocello and vocals).
