Much like Christmas, Halloween is no longer relegated to a single day. A number of Halloween enthusiasts now begin decorating at the start of October.
In Saline, you can see this now, as Borer Chiropractic's scarecrow contest has made its presence known in downtown Saline.
In addition, there are trick or treat events planned outside the Saline Rec Center (click here) and in downtown Saline (click here).
Hijinks and autumn revelry fill the air as individuals eagerly count down to the end of the month. And when Halloween finally arrives, the trick-or-treat hours in Saline will be from 6-8 p.m.
It's one of the most memorable days of the year for kids - but it also poses safety risks.
STAY SAFE ON HALLOWEEN
Though the lightheartedness of Halloween festivities, such as costumes and candy, garner the bulk of celebrants' attention, it's important to take safety into consideration as well. According to the Mayo Clinic, children are twice as likely to be hit by a car on Halloween as other nights of the year. Cuts and burns also are more common on Oct.31.
