If you love watching football at Hornet Stadium, you're going to be happy with the bracket the MHSAA released Sunday.
The Hornets, in Division 1, were placed in Region 1, District 2. As a result of Saline's record and schedule strength, the Hornets finished with 102.222 points - top in their region.
That means the Hornets will host football games at Hornet Stadium until the regional championship - if they can stay alive.
Saline (8-1) hosts Kalamazoo Central (6-3, 71.44) in week one. The time has not yet been determined and it's possible the game could be played Saturday. Brighton (7-2, 87.111) visit East Kentwood (8-1, 99.444) in the other District 2 pre-district game.
District 1 has Rockford (5-4, 61.33) at Traverse City West (7-2, 89.33) and Holland West Ottawa (6-3, 72.778) at Hudsonville (6-3, 74.11).
Tickets for single-session Pre-District, District and Regional games are $6. Single-session Semifinal tickets are $7. At Semifinal sites where multiple games are played and a single admission is charged, tickets are $8.
For the 11-Player Finals, tickets are $10 per day at Ford Field, allowing a fan to see all four games on a single admission.
The bracket, in PDF form, is attached below.
