County Cleanup Day Held at Thomson Reuters Sept. 29

The City of Saline is co-sponsoring a Washtenaw County Cleanup Day event, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sept. 29, at the Thomson Reuters office complex at 6300 Interfirst Drive, at the corner of State and Textile roads.

Last year the event was held at the Saline Department of Public Works. A minimum $10 donation is requested.

Washtenaw County residents can bring the following items.

  • Traditional recyclable materials (glass, cardboard, plastic, paper, scrap metal)
  •  Appliances (refrigerator, dryer, a/c unit, etc.)
  • Household hazardous materials (paint, pesticides, cleaning supplies, oil, etc.) è Tires è Electronics (TV, computer, etc.)
  • Bulky household items (mattress, furniture, etc.)
  • Construction and demolition waste (drywall, concrete, wood, bricks, etc.)
  • Residents can bring up to four tires at no cost. A donation of $5 is requested for each additional item.
  • Residents can bring one television, computer or appliance for no fee. A donation of $10 is requested for each additional item.

No household garbage or driveway concrete and asphalt is accepted.

The event is co-sponsored by the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office, the City of Saline, Freedom Township and Thomson Reuters.
