Jim Fox, Father of 3, Enjoyed a Long and Varied Career as a Structural Engineer
James A. “Jim” Fox, 79, died in Saline, Michigan on July 13, 2018. Born in Jackson on March 8, 1939 to William and Angela (Best) Fox, he was raised in Saline from a young age and resided there his entire life – with a brief stint in Darmstadt, Germany with the 547th Engineer Battalion. After earning a B.S. in engineering from the University of Michigan, he had a long and varied career in the field of structural engineering.
We are reeling from this loss and cannot begin to go into all the things he accomplished. We think he was wonderful and weird, and we will miss him terribly. Personal notes sent by snail mail sharing your memories would be appreciated.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle; his children Jim (Kathy), Katherine (Andy Breeding), and Paul; his grandson Riley James; brother John (Patti) and sister Mary (Neil) Harrison; as well as his nieces and nephews.
