In a video posted on Facebook the Saline Police Department Chief Jerrod Hart and Officer Chris Boulter invited residents to dispose of unwanted pills in its "Big Red Barrel,' located at the police station, 100 N. Harris St., Saline.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = 'https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.12'; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
Did you know the Saline Police Department has a collection barrel for unwanted / expired medications? As explained by Ofc. Chris Boulter, you can anonymously drop off medications 24/7/365. Since the barrel was put in place (2014) citizens have turned in 1,160lbs or an average of 290lbs a year of unwanted / exprired medication. On this snowy Friday, take the time to clear out your medicine cabinet and once the roads are clear, come visit us at the Saline Police Departent. Thanks to the many community partners who made this important initiative possible. #bigredbarrel #drugtakeback
