Listeners to AM 1290 WLBY yesterday morning got several new updates to the development timeline for our planned Best Western Premier in Saline.
Jim Haeussler and Mark Kuykendall of Saline Lodging Group, along with Saline Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director John Olsen, joined Lucy Ann Lance in-studio for a live interview during her 8:30am segment.
Lucy Ann opened by telling her audience: "This is a game-changer."
In summary:
Early in the broadcast, Mr Kuykendall praised the work and process of Saline city government for its part in working to get things to this stage.
After a brief bit of background, a big chunk of the discussion turned to examples of the very specific economic benefits that having a hotel can be expected to have in terms of bringing otherwise inaccessible business to our community.
For those who missed the interview, Station WLBY has made a recording available free for listening on its website.
Also note that our own Saline Area Chamber of Commerce is featured every Wednesday on The Lucy Ann Lance Show during its 8:00am hour. Links to some past interviews can be found at 1290wlby.com online.
I liked much of what Bret Pollington had to say. However, in his earlier interview with Tran he stated that he's firmly opposed to maintaining the Mill Pond Dam, "full stop". So a vote for Bret is a vote against the dam.
Thanks for the post as you have confirmed my thoughts, all candidates are of the liberal persuasion ! Makes me very glad that my choice for my family was York Township and not the city.
Sunny, with a high of 66 and low of 38 degrees. Sunny in the morning, overcast in the afternoon and evening, clear overnight.
I am always concerned when a candidate is running on "transparency".
Why is that concerning?
