Saline won two more games in the SEC Monday as the Lady Hornets hosted Huron in varsity softball action.
Saline won 8-1 and 6-4.
In game one, Emily Baldus was the winning pitcher, scattering six hits and a walk over seven innings. She struck out one.
Saline had 12 hits and broke the game open with a four-run fourth.
Kelsey Alexander paced the attack, going 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Brooke Bauer and Amanda Enners each had two hits. Enners doubled and Bauer drove in two runs. Ashley Heren doubled and scored two runs and Emma Schwartzenberger, Ann-Jo Stuart, Alex Pace and Emily Finkbeiner singled.
Alex Pace was the winning pitcher in the second game. She pitched seven innings and gave up seven hits while walking one and striking out three. Two of the four runs she gave up were earned.
Saline had 13 hits off Huron pitching. Olivia Darmos had three hits. Heren, Bauer and Stuart each had two hits. Bauer and Enners each drove in two runs.
Huron took the lead with a run in each of the first two innings. Saline replied with a run in each of the next two innings. In the fifth, Huron scored to take a 3-2 lead. Saline replied with a four-run sixth-inning. Huron managed a run in the seventh. Huron had the winning run at the plate with one out in the top of the seventh. Pace struck out the batter and Saline nabbed a runner on an attempted double steal.
The Hornets improved to 9-2.
