DAVCO Technology Unveils New Fuel Pro® 498 Model Enhancing Fuel/Water Separation
Saline, Michigan (March 17, 2026) – DAVCO Technology, a leading North American provider of diesel fuel water separators and filtration systems, proudly announces the launch of its latest innovation, the Fuel Pro® 498 model. Engineered in collaboration with major OEM engineering teams, this model offers superior engine protection and helps increase uptime, setting a new benchmark in diesel fuel filtration.
The Fuel Pro® 498 is the next generation of the Fuel Pro® 48X series, integrating the coolant heat features of the Fuel Pro® 483 with the 3-layer filtration of the Fuel Pro® 488 into one unit providing 15-micron filtration. This enables better engine operation in cold weather, as well as water separation exceeding engine OEM requirements. DAVCO offers multiple heating solutions for the Fuel Pro® 498, including the latest improved fuel heater. These heat solutions help improve cold starts and provide continuous heating for on-road operation. DAVCO is currently testing to expand the Fuel Pro® 498 offering to other OEMs.

Incorporating DAVCO’s Seeing is Believing® technology, the Fuel Pro® 498 allows drivers to visually monitor fuel filter status, reducing maintenance costs and minimizing downtime. With the Seeing is Believing® technology, drivers can easily determine when their filter needs to be changed. More importantly, drivers and technicians can also determine when it doesn’t need to be changed, preventing unnecessary replacement costs. The Fuel Pro® 498 also features the Elemax® design, maximizing filter life by optimizing fuel flow through the entire filter media by creating a vapor barrier relief to give a visual cue for when the media has been fully saturated with contaminants, thereby extending maintenance intervals and engine uptime.
