SACC Welcomes Lighthouse Counseling Center Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

SALINE, MI – The Saline Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) is proud to welcome Lighthouse Counseling Center with an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, September 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 300 Old Creek Drive, Saline, Michigan.

Community members are invited to tour the new space, meet the team, and learn more about the services offered by Lighthouse Counseling Center. Light refreshments will be served, and all are welcome. The official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m.

Since 1993, Lighthouse Counseling Center has been dedicated to helping people move from trapped to free. As a faith-grounded counseling practice, the center provides compassionate support and guidance through a variety of services, including:

• Individual counseling and coaching
• Marriage and couples counseling
• Grief support
• Life transitions
• Personal growth and direction

Owner Laurel Layher, a lifelong Saline resident, was inspired to pursue counseling after a powerful experience during her teenage years.

"When I was a teenager, there was a girl who said, 'Just once I wish that I could say no when someone offered me drugs.' It broke my heart."

That moment helped shape Laurel's commitment to helping people find healing, hope, and freedom in their lives.

When asked what she loves most about being part of the Saline community, Laurel shared:

"I have always loved the sense of connection in this community. It is a peaceful place to work, play, and live."

As Lighthouse Counseling Center begins this new chapter in Saline, Laurel looks forward to meeting new people and building relationships through local events and community activities.

Reflecting on her work, she says:

"My greatest joy is seeing people experience breakthroughs and the freedom that follows."
