Reflections from end of first year on Saline City Council

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of The Saline Post management or staff.

Good Morning,

As we head into the end of 2021 and I finish out my first year on city council, I observe that I've been humbled by the learning curve. I appreciate constituents who keep me honest by asking the tough questions and council colleagues who have been supportive and helpful even when we disagree.

It's been a tough year with a lot of work going on in the background by both council and city staff. There is so much work to be done and I'd encourage any of you to join a city board or commission to get involved!

Of note, the healthcare taskforce meets the fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. These meetings are public and if anyone has input or interest come on by. We need more healthcare options in Saline and the taskforce is making great progress.

Wishing you all a Happy Holiday season however you celebrate it!
