Scout Troop 439 Donates Pillowcases to Mott Children's Hospital

This post expresses the views and opinions of the author(s) and not necessarily that of The Saline Post management or staff.

Last month, scouts from Troop 439 put together and sewed 70 pillowcases to donate to Mott Children's Hospital. The hospital gives all young patients a pillowcase to help in the healing process. When scouts learned that pillowcases were running low, they decided to help!

Scouts gathered donated materials and borrowed sewing machines. They learned to create the pillowcases by watching videos and getting hands-on demonstrations then cut, pieced, pinned and sewed the final product. Together 16 scouts and parents put in over 100 volunteer hours to make the final product.

Scouts BSA Troop 439 is an all girl troop for ages 11-18 that meets at Tri County Sportsmen's League. For more information on the troop, please contact tricountyscoutsbsa@gmail.com.
