American Soy Products Buys Former Associated Spring Site

American Soy Products, which makes soy-based products at its 65,000-square-foot facility at 1474 Woodland Drive in Saline, has plans for a new headquarters in the city.

According to, the company has purchased a 107,780-square-foot facility at 1445 Barnes Court, a building which housed Associated Spring.

The report states that American Soy Products plans to make the building its new company headquarters. A move is expected early in 2017 after renovations.

American Soy Products employs 42 people in Saline according to its website.

In partnership with Clinton-based Eden Foods, American Soy Products supplies soy milk to more than 10,000 stores in the United States and Canada.

American Soy Products also produces VRUIT.

The Saline Post was unable to American Soy Products officials for comment.

In 2014, Barnes Group closed Associated Spring. About 50 people lost their job. The company employed as many as 200 people in the late 1980s.
