Saline swam to another SEC Red victory Thursday, defeating Monroe 141-45.
The Hornets, in the middle of a grueling training schedule, managed to win every event.
Senior Jared Ehrman led the way, winning two individual events and helping two relay teams to victory.
Saline opened the meet by taking first and second in the 200-yard medley relay. Davis Klein, Ethan Saunders, Matthew Filsinger and Ehrman won in 1:41.07. Hunter Nelson, Jacob Brunty, Cooper Osgood and Ethan Gerber placed second.
Junior Cole Pelton won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.28. Danny Goddell was third in 1:55.17 and Freshman Thomas Walsh was fourth.
Cole Nelson won the 200-yard IM in 2:04.88, Matthew Lau by .11 seconds. Joshua Mahaney was third.
Ehrman’s first victory came in the 50-yard freestyle, which he won in 21.99 seconds. Saunders was second in 22.32 and Klein was third in 22.94.
Freshman Jason Heissler captured the diving event with a score of 169.2. Josh Birch was second with a score of 151.2.
Ehrman’s second win came in the 100-yard butterfly. He swam the event in 53.94 seconds. Brunty was second in 58.91. Walsh was fourth in 1:01.24.
Klein won the 100-yard freestyle in 50.16. Matthew Hardt was second in 50/79 and Osgood was third in 52.12.
Gerber won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:17.03. Nicholas Huetteman was second in 5:24.67. Andrew Victory was fourth.
Cole Nelson, Lau, Ehrman and Brunty won the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:30.83.
Saunders won the backstroke in 57.59. Hardt was third in 1:01.45.
Filsinger won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:03.78. Hunter Nelson finished second in 1:07.17. Henry Han was fourth.
Saline finished the day by taking first and second in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Lau, Cole Nelson, Hunter Nelson and Filsinger won the race in 3:29.72. Pelton, Mahaney, Goddell and Hardt were second in 3:34.
