Description: KCH is pleased to welcome back jazz, blues, and boogie-woogie pianist Mark Lincoln Braun (Mr. B), a Michigan institution renowned for carrying on the tradition of early masters like Little Brother Montgomery, Boogie Woogie Red, and Blind John Davis. Joining him for his annual “Birthday Bounce” is world-class drummer Ali Jackson Jr., Detroit-born, former Drum Chair of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and veteran accompanist to legends like Wynton Marsalis, Aretha Franklin, and George Benson. Their collaboration blends Mr. B’s soulful, old-school piano with Jackson’s powerful jazz drumming, promising a vibrant fusion of blues, swing, and jazz. Together, they’ll deliver a heartfelt celebration of American musical heritage, deeply rooted in tradition yet alive with fresh energy.
