Pittsfield Township’s Farmers Market Grand Opening, June 13

“We hope folks will stop by to support their local farmers and vendors as the market makes available everything from produce, sausages and other meats, bread, fruits, cheese, eggs and other dairy products, soaps, and flowers at the Pittsfield Township Farmers Market. Special activities – from live music on opening day to readings by local libraries, kite flying lessons for Father’s Day, firework safety before July 4th, and treasure hunts – are planned for each of the market days,” noted Supervisor Mandy Grewal. The Market will have different activities/entertainment each week including music by local entertainers Kevin Devine and the Saline Fiddlers, firework and bike safety programs through the Pittsfield Department of Public Safety, story-time by both the Saline and Ann Arbor District Libraries, kid-friendly activities presented by Pittsfield’s Park and Recreation Department, gardening and healthy cooking demonstrations, and a fun “find the banana” game for kids to win prizes while exploring the Market every week.
