Saline’s varsity boys bowling team improved to 7-1 with a 27-3 victory over Adrian at Maplewood Lanes Wednesday.
The Hornets were led by Drake Jones, who bowled games of 238 and 205. Colin Mitchell (237), Tristin Marion (214) and Dallas Casey (201) also had strong games for Saline.
The girls didn’t fare as well, falling 17-13, to Adrian. Saline and Adrian split their Baker games and the Hornets took the pinfall count. In the first game, Madison Shelton was Saline’s only winner. But Tori Rishel (147) and Brittney Tuck (139) had strong games. Saline battled back in the second game. Rishel won with a score of 155 and Regan Cox won with a 142. Saline won total pins but Adrian won three of the games.
Saline is off until Wednesday when the Hornets take on Bedford.
