Lady Hornets Romp, 8-0
Saline’s varsity soccer team climbed over .500 for the first time this season, posting an 8-0 win over Adrian.
Caitlin Ellis, Taylor Mulder and Becky Sulkowski each scored twice for Saline. Danielle Rathfon and Kayla Kouba also scored for the Lady Hornets.
Hannah Sheth and Sofia Sweier shared the shutout in goal.
The Hornets have outscored their opponents 16-0 in the last two games.
Coach Dana Restrick was dissatisfied with the Lady Hornets’ effort in the first half, despite the four goals scored.
“I thought we looked lethargic and we were playing individually,” Restrick said. “But we talked about that at halftime and we were much better in the second half.”
Saturday, Saline plays Saginaw Heritage, Grand Blanc and Dewitt.
