Imagine getting your company name out before thousands of festivalgoers; that’s the PR opportunity for sponsors of the Saline Celtic Festival, set for July 11-12, 2014, at Mill Pond Park in Saline. Last year’s event drew several thousand Celtic enthusiasts.
Sponsorships begin as inexpensively as $250 for a “Festival” sponsorship, which includes a listing on the Saline Celtic Festival website at salineceltic.org; a logo on the Sponsors Board at the Festival gate; and a listing in a “Thank You” ad in the Saline Post and City of Saline newsletter. Sponsors also get an 8-foot table and two chairs, inside the festival entrance, to promote products/services to the Celtic crowds.
Sponsors at the $500 Executive; $1,000 Gold and $3,000 Platinum levels receive all those benefits, as well as 2, 4 and 6 free tickets respectively; and their company logo on a banner at their choice of two locations: the Highland Athletics field or Red Dragon entertainment tent.
In addition to all these goodies, Platinum sponsors receive Main Sponsorship of an event of their choice: dance stage, Highland dance, pipe and drum bands, or another event, (subject to availability); as well as their company logo on the Saline Celtic Festival brochure, mailed with the City of Saline newsletter to area households.
Sponsors at the $5,000 Presidential level will receive assistance in creating a customized sponsorship package.
Giant wood versions of Millie the Mill Pond Monster – the festival’s official mascot – will spring up at the east and west ends of Saline, covered in logos of all the sponsors. The “Millie Boards” will be moved to Mill Pond Park for the Friday and Saturday of the festival.
Companies that are not able to offer cash sponsorships are welcome to donate sponsor-in-kind services, materials, or time. They, too, will receive recognition.
“The Friends of the Festival is so appreciative of our sponsors,” says Amber Sotelo, who heads up the Friends of the Festival organization formed exclusively to seek charitable donations for funding the Saline Celtic Festival. “We are, at heart, a community festival and it’s wonderful to have the support of businesses in this community.”
The 2014 Festival is already welcoming these sponsors: Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, Arts Alliance, Goetzcraft Printers Inc. Design Hub, DTE, EPMG, Walmart, Domino’s Pizza, Renewal by Andersen, Saline Summer Music Series, Whole Foods Market, Play & Learn Daycare, Bank of Ann Arbor, and Linden Square Assisted Living.
“We enjoy being a sponsor because it’s such an important event to the Saline community,” says David Iaconelli, store manager of Walmart in Saline.
