County Cleanup Day in Saline Sept. 21

Residents can drop off household waste and appliances at the Saline DPW Sept. 21.

The City of Saline Environmental Commission and Washtenaw County Solid Waste Program present a “County Cleanup Day” Sept. 21.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the city's Department of Public Works Building, 1234 Tefft Court.

Washtenaw County residents are invited to drop off items such as:

  • Traditional recyclable materials – glass, cardboard, plastic, paper, scrap metal
  • Freon appliances (One for free. $10 for each extra item)
  • Household hazardous materials – cleaning supplies, motor oil, oil-based paints
  • Furniture
  • Old tires (Up to 4. $5 for each additional)
  • Electronic equipment

This event is open to Washtenaw County residents but not to businesses or out-of-county residents. For more information, call 734-222-3827.
