A judge ruled in April that the City of Saline re-instate Saline Police officer Chris Boulter as sergeant. Boulter resigned his sergeant’s position Dec. 4, 2013, after the department investigated his romantic relationship with a subordinate. Boulter was married to another subordinate at the time. In February of 2014, Boulter took the city to the Michigan Employment Relations Commission to get his rank back. He cited alleged unfair labor practices.
