Eugene W. Roehm, 69, of Britton, passed away on November 3, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital.

He was born July 15, 1945 in Saline, the son of Leonor M. and Esther M. (Hieber) Roehm. On July 3, 1981, he married Julie June, and she survives. Eugene was a butcher and meat-cutter in the Saline area for many years. He was a member of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.

Survivors in addition to his wife include children Jeffrey (Paula) Roehm, Janice (Tom) Luther, Adam (Tania) Roehm, Grandchildren: Andrew, Gabrielle and Paige Knope, Matthew and Madison Luther, Ella and Mason Roehm, and a Great-Grandchild Addalynn Patros. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters; Wanda (Rex) Kanitz, Irene (Thomas) Vogt, Orman (Donna) Roehm, Earl (Doris) Roehm, Betty Steeb, Marlene Alber, Karen Luckhardt, Karl (Jacki) Roehm, and many nieces and nephews.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers-in-law Paul Steeb and Larry Luckhardt.

Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at the St. James United Church of Christ in Saline, MI, with Rev. Wallace Tatara officiating. Military Honors will be held under the auspices of the Veterans Honor Guard of Washtenaw County. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church, to the Veterans Honor Guard of Washtenaw County, or to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. Envelopes will be available at the church where friends may begin calling on Friday, Nov. 7, between the hours of 2 and 8 p.m. and also on Saturday, Nov. 8  from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
