The Saline Firefighters Toys for Tots drive only works because of many, many people and organizations coming together for those in need.

It all starts for us when we kick it off with the Fiddlers ReStrung Holiday Concert, which really lets us know the season is upon us, as usual the concert is great and we collect many toys.

Then each school building in our district also keeps a box in their office, that alone helps the cause with hundreds of toys, and this year Heritage School had a special fundraiser which allowed them to purchase us age specific gifts.  Then this year we also had Cael Sutherland and his mom, Jessica, who started his own Toys for Tots drive at Harvest School, and collected hundreds of toys. Cael and his classmates did an incredible job helping the less fortunate.

I feel very good about our future every time I interact with our students in Saline. Then there are all the rest of the folks in town that right up until Christmas day take the time to come by the station and drop off their toys. The 15 wonderful Ladies that wrapped over 500 gifts in just over two hours! Amazing!  This is one giving community and were all very fortunate to be part of it!

Thanks again,

Chief Craig Hoeft
