About 50 people turned out to light the Holiday Tree in downtown Saline Friday night.
The tree, decorated in part with ornaments made by Woodland Meadows Elementary School students, is located on the northwest corner of Michigan Avenue and Ann Arbor Street.
After lighting the tree, residents went inside Key Bank for cookies, cocoa and carols.
The holiday fun continues this weekend.
The Saline Area Players present The Best Christmas Pageant ever at 1 and 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The 37th annual holiday parade is Saturday in downtown Saline.
And the Fiddlers' ReStrung's Holiday Hometown Concert for Toys for Tots is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Saline High School.
