Playing in an "away" match in their backyard at Lake Forest Golf Club, the Saline Hornets bested the Skyline Eagles in an SEC golf match Tuesday.

The Hornets, 4-0 in the SEC, defeated Skyline 163-217.

Emily White was match medalist, shooting a 36. Like she did last week against Bedford, White shot a birdie and a bogey. Stacy Cruze continued her strong play with a 39.

"I knew they both were playing well when I saw saw Stacy sink a 25-footer for birdie on hole 3 and then Emily followed from 20 feet for a birdie on the same hole!" said coach Betsy French.

Samantha Kellstrom shot 43 and Louisa Antonelli had a 45 to finish out the Hornets' scoring. Lauren Rasmussen shot 47 and Caitlin Swiney shot 55 although they didn't score for the team.

"It's a good day when a 47 is shot and not used for scoring," French said. Saline meets Monroe, who is currently 3-0, at Lake Forest Golf Club Wednesday.
