Luke Winslow-King Live at Stony Lake Brewing on December 8

Acoustic Routes Concerts will close out its 2017 concert season at Stony Lake Brewing, 447 E. Michigan Ave., with a blast of Delta Blues, roots rock & roll, Americana and bluegrass at two December shows.

On Friday, December 8 at 8 p.m., Bloodshot Records recording artist Luke Winslow-King will perform a solo show. Based in New Orleans for more than a decade, Luke's work is an eclectic mix that combines Mississippi Delta blues, folk music, traditional jazz, and roots rock & roll. His songs blend contemporary ideas with styles from bygone eras, producing a sound that is rustic and urbane, elegant and entirely his own. It looks to the past to move to the future. This along with his burgundy voice, dapper attire and versatile guitar playing have earned him a reputation as a musician who delivers soulfully energetic and dynamic performances.

Eight days later, on December 16 at 8 p.m., Acoustic Routes will host its annual pre-Christmas bluegrass show featuring Thunderwüde - the trio of Jason Dennie, Wesley Fritzemeier, and Tommy Reifel - you are in for a treat. With decades of collective touring behind them, Thunderwüde's live show is one that charms with impeccable songwriting, melodies and vocal harmonies, with seasoned instrumental chops and musical improvisation.

The cover for each show is $15 at the door and 100% goes to the artist, as with all Acoustic Routes Concerts.  Open seating.
