It's SHOW WEEK for SAP’s The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, written by Barbara Robinson. Performing a holiday show the same weekend as SACC’s Christmas parade has been a Saline Area Players’ tradition now for 7 years.  The group staged this same play the first year and sold out many performances.  Kara Cardella, who directs, was the also the director of our first holiday show and of 6 of the 7 since then!

The show will be performed December 1 and 2 at 7:30 PM, December 3 at 1:00 and 3:00 PM, and December 4 at 3:00 PM.  Performances are held at Fifth Corner, 211 Willis Rd, Saline.  Please note there are stairs to get into the venue.

Reserve tickets now at the great price of $5/person by either calling 734-957-6585 or emailing The seating is general admission and patrons are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes before the show begins to pick up and pay for their tickets with cash or check.  There will also be some tickets at the door (opens 30 minutes before showtime) but get there early as shows in the past have sold out.

This one-act play, perfect for families, tells the story of how the rough and tough Herdman kids take over the church’s holiday Christmas pageant.  The pageant director (her first year on the job) is determined to go ahead with the pageant and all wonder if these bullies will create havoc with the pageant.  This year’s production has some snazzy choreography thrown in which makes it even more fun.

The cast is made up of actors of all ages – some who are new to being on stage and others who are veterans.   They have been rehearsing since October. The cast includes Charissa Kofahl and Rich Hamann as Grace & Bob Bradley.  Their two children are played by Madeline Dineen and Caleb Penney.  The Herdman children are played by John Paul Gregor, Miranda Patterson, Tommy Hamann, Ayden Burton, Sarah Knechtel and Mackenna Kofahl.  The rest of the cast include:  Salenna Alauddin, Eva Blake, Maureen Blake, Lindsey Clarke, Susanna Davis, Lucy Dineen, Michael Dineen, Benedict Gregor, Ignatius Gregor, Maurita Gregor, Andrew Hamann, Sarah Hamann, Annie Jenkins, Regina Kojiro, Rebekah Kojiro, Kevin Myers, Maddie Nishioka, Joseph Sauter, Megan Sauter, Katelyn Stevens, Kelly Wade, Hanaan Yousef, Hassan Yousef, and Amelia Yunker.
