Fiddlers ReStrung  welcomes to the group four new violinists; Stephanie Bay, Hanna Benedek, Emma Dester,  Manasa Dittakavi and Tori Monge on cello.

All five have completed the initial audition process from among the many young musicians who attended the open auditions conducted by the group in February, 2013.

Fiddlers ReStrung’s new members are chosen based on a balance of musical talent and personal maturity to enable them to balance a demanding performance schedule while maintaining high academic and extracurricular standards at school.

The five new members have started attending rehearsals and will learn many of the standard favorites that make up Fiddlers ReStrung’s repertoire.  As they become more comfortable with the music and performance schedule of the group, the new members will more formally join the group’s performances over the course of the summer schedule.

Fiddlers ReStrung is busy putting preparations in place for two events on their spring schedule.  Coming up April 27th is Fiddlers ReStrung’s Annual Rummage Sale held atLiberty School in Saline.  Then on May 11,2013 please join Fiddlers ReStrung at their annual Spring Hometown Concert at 6:30 in the Ellen Ewing Performing Arts Center at Saline High School with guest artist Hanneke Cassel.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.  Tickets may be purchased at the door, online through or by calling (734) 663-8923, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Fiddlers ReStrung is a 24-piece string ensemble consisting of students at Saline High School, all of whom share in producing the musical ensemble that is featured at more than 60 performances annually.
