Saline Main Street prepares for its second Annual Clean Saline Day Saturday, April 21 on Earth Day weekend. Join us as we roll up our sleeves on this special day of service! After a long winter, our downtown and neighboring areas have spring cleaning and maintenance needs.  Saline DPW and Saline Main Street will provide brooms, rakes and supplies to help us get the job done. The more, the merrier!

Earth Day has been celebrated since 1970, bringing people together worldwide in support of protecting the environment.  Many communities honor this movement by hosting volunteers in clean up and beautification efforts.  The Clean Saline event highlights multiple projects throughout the downtown and other spots that need TLC.  Project tasks include sweeping, trash pick up, weed control, and much more.

Volunteers are needed! Organizers are planning a fun-filled time. Check-in from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the Saline Main Street office located at 131 E. Michigan Ave. Folks will be organized into teams, begin working at 9:30 and finish up at 11:30.  Main Street organizers will provide leadership and hand out t-shirts, beverages, and snacks.

Saline Main Street’s mission is to enhance the vitality of the downtown as a social, cultural, economic, and a historical heart of our community.

Volunteers can register at the Saline Main Street website (salinemainstreet.org) or contact Holli Andrews via email (directorsalinemainstreet.org) or call (734)316-2119.
