Beatrice “Bea” Haeussler, 85, of Saline, died in her home, surrounded by loving family, following a brief illness, on Saturday, April 13, 2019.  

She was born on December 8, 1933 in Leoni, MI to the late Lawrence and Josephine (Stapish) Fowler.  She grew up in Chelsea, MI, and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1952.  Following graduation, she was employed as a bookkeeper at Chelsea Spring Plant, and married Glenn Haeussler in 1958.  

They bought a farm, and built a home in Saline in 1964, where they raised their family, and resided for more than 50 years.  Bea enjoyed reading, cooking, dancing, and spending time with her family.  She was an active member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Freedom Township, and worked tirelessly as a volunteer for Saline Schools.  

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband, Glenn; two children, James (Michele) Haeussler, and Lynn (Stephen) Strobbe; grandchildren, Michael (Ashlie) Haeussler, Elizabeth Haeussler, Joseph Strobbe, and David Strobbe; and great-grandchildren, Carter, William, and Jacob Haeussler.  

Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 noon on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Bethel United Church of Christ, followed by a funeral service and luncheon, with Rev. Dr. David Bucholtz officiating.
