Orman Roehm, 76, Was a Farmer and Member of SHS Class of 1959

Orman Miles Roehm, age 76, of Clinton, MI., passed away on April 2, 2017 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Leonor and Esther (Hieber) Roehm in Saline, MI., on February 21, 1941. Orman was united in marriage to Donna Jean Kemner in Manchester, MI on August 24, 1963 and they shared almost 54 loving years together.

Orman was a self-employed farmer and carpenter for most of his life. He graduated from Saline High School Class of 1959, lifelong member of St. James United Church of Christ where he served as past president and held various offices at the church. He was a member of the Saline Retired Iron, was an avid euchre player as a true German would be. He loved hunting, fishing, and farming.  Orman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a dear friend to many.

Orman is survived by his wife, Donna, his children, Ronald (Jo Anne) Roehm, Nancy (Neil) Koch and Daniel (Nick) Roehm; grandchildren, Caroline Roehm, Colin Roehm, Cortney Koch, Kaylee Roehm, Trevor Roehm and Carissa Roehm; siblings, Wanda (Rex) Kanitz, Irene (Tom) Vogt, Earl (Doris) Roehm, Betty Steeb, Marlena Alber, Karen Luckhardt, Karl (Jacki) Roehm, his sister-in-law, Julie Roehm and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Eugene, and two brothers-in-law’s, Paul Steeb and Larry Luckhardt.

Visitation for Orman will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at St. James United Church of Christ, 11005 W. Michigan Ave., Saline, MI., 48176 from 2-8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the church at 11:00 am with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial to follow at St. James UCC Cemetery.
