A 17-year-old Saline Township boy is missing and anyone with information about his location is urged to call police.

Robert Weaver, a student at Saline Alternative High School, was seen at the Saline District Library around 2 p.m., Wednesday, according to his mother, Amy.

Saline Police Chief Jerrod Hart said a dispatcher in his department confirmed a missing persons report was filed with the Michigan State Police. The Saline Police Department urges citizens to call police, at 734-429-7911, if Weaver is spotted in the city limits.

On her Facebook wall, Amy Weaver posted that her son was last seen at the library after school Wednesday. She said her son had run away.

A short time later, she shared her post in the Saline Posts Facebook group, adding that her son had been spotted in Saline around 2 p.m.

Around 1 a.m., Mike Weaver said Robert has been seen in and around Saline several times and that he was still missing.
