Talking During 'Jumanji' Leads to Fight At Emagine Theatre

 01/05/2018 - 19:53

Nobody was injured and no arrests as a result of a fight at Emagine Theatre Friday afternoon.

Saline Police were called to the theater shortly after 4:30 p.m.

According Saline Police Sgt. Steven Maag, the altercation began during a screening of Jumanji. Two people in their late teens were making noise. A person in their 40s told them to be quiet. It escalated into a fight in the theatre. None of the involved parties are from the City of Saline.

Maag said none of the parties requested medical assistance as a result of the fight. No arrests were made. Police are still investigating and plan to view video from the theatre. The final report will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

What caught my attention in this article was that there are cameras in the theater. It hadn't crossed my mind that there might be people watching me watch a movie.

Cathy...me neither but maybe after the terrible theater shooting in Colorado or even before, theaters want to protect patrons by keeping an eye on things or at least have a record if something like this happens. I understand the 40 year old's anger but safer to go to the theater manager to confront the two miscreants. They could have had pistols in their jackets...like road rage... "Theater rage"?!? Hard to stop tho and theater probably hates to throw out paying customers.

...because people from Saline would ever get into a fight.
