The Saline High School Orchestras and Chamber Choir traveled to Chicago to perform in the 2017 Masters of Music Festival April 20-23.
In Chicago, students performed at Chicago's Symphony Center and worked with professional clinicians and musicians from the Chicago Symphony and Chorus. Under the direction of Matthew Briere and Sarah Price, students from the SHS Orchestras and Chamber Choir performed on the stage that countless, legendary musicians have performed on.
Chicago's Symphony Center is the home of the prestigious Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. In addition to our musical activities, students had the opportunity to explore many of the great cultural attractions that Chicago offers including; cuisine, architectural tours, museums, and musical performances.
Organizers gave a huge thanks to tireless chaperones who worked so hard to make this trip a success including SAS employees; Ben Culver, Laura Robberts and Dolly Collins. In addition to their musical excellence, students on the trip were routinely punctual, polite and looking out for each other, they represented Saline Area Schools well.
