Heidi Pfannes places the name plates in front of her and Paul Hynek at the Jan. 8 Board of Education meeting. Hynek was elected president of the board, while Pfannes was elected vice-president.

The new Saline Board of Education took seat at Liberty School, Jan. 8.

In one of his final acts as Board President, Tim Austin swore in newly-elected trustees Jennifer Steben and Susan Estep.

When the meeting began, the board held its election of officers.

Paul Hynek, former vice-president, was elected as president. This will be Hynek’s second term as president.

Heidi Pfannes, who was secretary, was elected vice-president.

Michael McVey was elected secretary.

All of the votes were unanimous. There were no other nominations from the table.
