Six members of the Saline High School band performed with the Michigan All-State Ensemble Jan. 26 in Grand Rapids.

Selected to perform were Eileen Zong, principal flute, Emma Rose Reilly, clarinet, Ryan Lampman, trombone, Zach Gabanyicz, principal trumpet, Jason Chen, alto saxophone, and Holden Collins, tuba.

Nate Lampman, Director of Bands at Saline High School, said the students performed well.

"Both the band and orchestra performances were amazing! Thank you for representing your school and your community with such artistry and professionalism," Lampman said. "We are very proud of you."

Saline High School Principal David Raft commended the students and also thanked Lampman and Saline's music teachers for their efforts.

"They are lucky and we are lucky to have such committed music teachers," Raft said.
