The Saline girls varsity lacrosse team opened the season with an 18-6 loss to West Bloomfield to open the 2018 spring season Wednesday.

Emily Hill and Grace Livsey each scored two goals for Saline. Lilly Duce and Anna Lechard also scored.

Coach Ashley Glenn credited Livsey and Hill for their offense and for their work on faceoffs.

We were also pleased with Caroline Leyden’s performance. She was working hard on both ends of the field and helped keep the energy up,” Glenn said.

After graduating 12 girls last year, this year’s team is small. Both the junior varsity and varsity teams played without substitutes.

They’ll get tired absolutely,” Glenn said. “But we’re focusing on our endurance as well as playing a style that will work with our roster size.
