July 11, through August 26, Artist of the Month: Valerie Mann, "Observations"
Valerie Mann's watercolor paintings from various Artist in Residency programs and from around Saline will be featured. These plein air watercolors center around the landscapes--from the tall grasses of Nebraska, to the farmscapes of Saline, to the dunes of Indiana's Lakeshore. Stop by to see how Valerie captures the clouds, shadows, and light within her plein air landscapes.

Saline District Library today announced that David Maraniss – author of Once in a Great City: A Detroit Story – will pay a special visit to the library at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, for an afternoon of first-rate storytelling; book signing and question-and-answer time with guests.
