Michael Jerome Sabatos, of Saline and formerly of Jackson, passed away at the age of 48 on Monday, October 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mike was born in Howell, the son of Donald and Barbara (Mansfield) Sabatos. On November 21, 2014 in Saline he married Andrea Moore Brandon and she survives.
Mike loved his job at Ford Motor Company as a Research & Development analyst. His interests included playing golf, riding motorcycles, cars, and playing hockey. He loved watching most sports, but especially Detroit Tiger baseball.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his son Scotland Sabatos, two step-daughters Brooke Brandon and Kelsey Boylen. Other survivors include his brother Stephen Sabatos, his sisters Theresa (Anthony) Viviano, Donna (Stephen) Kremer, Angela Sabatos, honorary brother Christopher Coulter, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Barbara, and his grandparents Arthur and Dolores Mansfield and Edward and Mary Sabatos. Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Saline, with Rev. Tom Zimmerman officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saline Area Social Services in Mike’s name. Envelopes will be available at the church where a visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 2:00 P.M. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. Arrangements entrusted to the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline.
